GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! Before you tackle the opener, please take a minute and watch the video I will show called "Why Earth Science." You may need it to answer some questions on the opener. Tuesday Opener: Why Earth Science
Today we will work on designing and creating individual graphic organizers to help us better understand the pieces that make up the biosphere and how they are linked together. By doing this we will also be working on mastering the program Keynote.
Thursday
Art in the classroom! Today I want all of you to take part in putting together a little class project. We are going to make a a mosaic puzzle of the "Biosphere." To do this you will need to scan through magazines and find images that fit the three spheres that make up the biosphere. You will be looking for pictures that represent the land (geosphere), sea (hydrosphere), and air (atmosphere). We will then overlay a new sphere on top of the three where this living interaction takes place, and we will call it the ecosphere. We will complete this assignment among all three classes and put it up in the classroom. Below is a link of an example of this artwork. Spheres Connected
Below is a link to your first quiz on Earth Science and the Biosphere. Please take the quiz and then show me the results when you are finished so I can record your score. For your records, take a screenshot of your score and put it in your Ag Earth Science folder. Period 4 E.S. and Biosphere Quiz Period 6 E.S. and Biosphere Quiz Period 8 E.S. and Biosphere Quiz
Now I want you to do some independent work and reading. Download the presentation 1.2 Scientific Method and open it up for viewing. Below is a link to the CLOZE notes you will take on the scientific method. You should have this done before class is over, but if you aren't quite finished, please do so after class and email me your completed notes by Monday morning for grading. As always, the subject in the email will look like this...Per#_Title_Name. 1.2 Scientific Method 9_24.pages
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
